Vegan Challenge

It has run every year since 2010 and it has never once been polite. Chefs from across the city take our kitchen for an evening and cook the best plant-based food they can put on a plate, and it goes to our customers' vote. There is no judging panel. There is just the room.
It has become a fixture in Brighton's food calendar, and it won a PETA prize for what it's done for vegan eating. Past winners come back through the year to cook nights of their own.

Good to know
What's included in the £48? You taste every dish created by the competing chefs, plus extra plant-based dishes from Moshimo. No one leaves hungry. Drinks are not included.
Do I need to be vegan? No. The Challenge is for anyone who loves good food. Many of our guests, and some of our chefs, aren't vegan.
How does the voting work? Each diner gets a voting form to score every dish out of ten for taste, presentation and originality. The three highest scoring chefs from each heat go through to the Grand Final.
How long does the evening last? The winners are announced at 10pm.
Allergies. This event is not suitable for anyone with food allergies. Dishes may contain nuts, sesame, soy, gluten and other allergens, and we can't adapt them on the night.
